ABOUT STEPHEN DOTSON

I have been a high school teacher since 2016, where I have taught AP Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Regular Chemistry, and Physical Science.

In 2008, I received a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University.  Then, I worked in industry for 8 years, building instruments to test pharmaceuticals.  I participated in the job embedded program at MTSU in order to gain my teaching license.  As my company worked with several different companies I have a chance to tell students some of the different experiences I have had.

In 2015, I married my wife and we started our family in 2017. Teaching gives me not only an opportunity to help the leaders of tomorrow but to spend more time with my wife and daughter.
