UNIT 4.6 INTRODUCTION TO TITRATION
Chemistry is the study of matter and interactions. Chemistry overlaps with many other sciences.
Below is the contents for this sub unit.
INTRODUCTION TO TITRATION
Review Acids and Bases

Titration can be used to determine the concentration of a solution. The titrant (stuff you put in buret) has a known concentration of a sample that reacts with the analyte (stuff in beaker).

Equivalence point is where the analyte is totally consumed by the titrant. This is usually indicated by a color change solution called an 'indicator'. This color change event is called the endpoint of the titration and doesn't always line up perfectly with the equivalence point. The correct indicator must be chosen to be close to equivalence point.
